OfferReady AI ("OfferReady", "we") is developed by Jelks Consulting Solutions. This policy covers offerreadyai.app and the OfferReady AI apps. The short version: we use your information only to run the features you ask for, we never sell it or use it for advertising, and you can export or delete it at any time.
What we collect
- Account details — your name and email address. Sign-in (including Google sign-in) is handled by our hosting platform; we never see or store your password.
- Content you add — uploaded résumés, job postings and job links, answers you give, tailored résumés, cover letters, LinkedIn drafts, STAR stories, interview prep, mock-interview answers, application-tracker entries and support messages.
- Voice answers (optional) — if you answer a mock interview by voice, the recording is uploaded to private storage so it can be transcribed. We use the transcript; we do not listen to recordings or link them to your profile.
- Plan details — which plan you are on and, for paid plans, the reference IDs our payment processor gives us. Card numbers are entered with Square directly and never reach our servers.
- Campus licence details — if your school provides your access, the school you activated through and your seat status.
- Usage and technical data — which features are used, basic device and browser information, and error logs. Logs record errors, not résumé content.
How we use it
- To provide the features you request — parsing, match analysis, tailoring, cover letters, interview practice and downloads.
- To run your account, plan or campus seat, and to answer support requests.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To improve the product using aggregate usage statistics, not the contents of your documents.
We do not sell personal information, we do not show ads, and we do not share your résumé with employers, recruiters or data brokers. Your documents go to an employer only when you send them yourself.
AI processing
When you use an AI feature, the content that feature needs (for example your résumé and the job description) is sent from our servers to an AI model provider, and the result is returned to your account. Voice answers are transcribed by a speech-to-text service, and the interviewer's spoken questions are generated by a voice provider from the question text only — never your résumé file or your answers.
We do not use your content to train AI models, and our platform provider's data processing terms limit its use of personal data to providing the service. AI output can be wrong: you review and approve every résumé, letter and answer before you use it. See our AI Transparency Policy.
Who processes it
We use a small number of service providers to run OfferReady. Each is bound by data-protection terms and receives only what it needs for its task. Institutions can request our full sub-processor list.
- Cloud hosting — hosting, database, sign-in, private file storage and email delivery. Data is stored in the United States.
- AI model providers — produce analyses, rewrites, letters and interview practice from the content a feature needs.
- Voice provider — speaks the mock-interviewer's questions (question text only).
- Payment processor — payments for individual paid plans. Campus-licensed students never pay.
- Job-search and job-page services — receive only search keywords, a location, or a public job link.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, and we will tell you unless we are legally prevented from doing so.
Students on a campus licence
If your college or university provides your access:
- Your school sees numbers, not your work. We give your school aggregate usage reports — seats activated, how many résumés were tailored, cover letters written, mock interviews completed, and outcomes students chose to record in their tracker. Very small counts are shown as "fewer than 5". Your school never receives your résumés, answers or anything else you create, and cannot open your account.
- Your account is yours. If the licence ends, your account moves to the Free plan and your content stays with you unless you delete it.
- Student records law. If a school gives us information from student education records (for example a list of eligible students), we handle it as a "school official" under FERPA: we use it only to provide the service to that school, do not re-disclose it, and return or delete it when the agreement ends. We will sign a school's own FERPA or data-security addendum where one is required.
Retention and deletion
- Your content is kept until you delete it — unless you turn on automatic deletion in Settings. You can choose 3, 6 or 12 months: every day we permanently delete content you have not updated within that period.
- You can delete any single résumé at any time, or delete your whole account in Settings. Account deletion removes the account and every record in it from our live database straight away. Copies in our providers' encrypted backups expire on their normal backup schedule.
- Plan and billing records are kept as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal obligations.
How we protect it
- All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Our hosting platform encrypts stored data and backups at rest (AES-256) and is independently audited to SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001.
- Every record carries an access rule that limits it to its owner. Uploaded files are private and are only ever read through short-lived signed links, from our servers.
- AI prompts, API keys and payment credentials live only on the server, never in the app your browser downloads. Every server function checks who is calling it.
- Only OfferReady's administrator account can view records for support and operations.
If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you — and, for campus licences, your school — without undue delay and within the time limits the law sets.
Your choices and rights
- Access and export — download everything in your account from Settings → Export my data.
- Correct — edit your profile and any document directly.
- Delete — delete individual items, turn on automatic deletion, or delete your account.
- Email — ask us to remove you from our newsletter at any time; deleting your account removes it automatically.
For anything you cannot do in the app — such as a copy of an original uploaded file — email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Age requirement
OfferReady is for people aged 16 and over and is not directed to children. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we delete it.
Changes and contact
